5 Steps to Hit a Goal

Do you want to start moving towards a goal? Here are 5 helpful tips to get you on your way. No matter when you want to start. If you, are at all like me, you can start on a Monday or the first of a month, a full moon, or whatever makes you feel like it is the time. With that being said, you can start right now, if you want.

These can be some of the first steps you take when exploring your goal.

  1. Finding and discovering what is important to you.

    Pro tip: If there are some “shoulds” in there, look into what a “should” means to you. Find a “want to” and replace the “should” with it.

  2. Are there emotions, and/or thoughts about yourself or the world around you, about this goal??

    Pro tip: Name them. Write them all down, and get them all out.

  3. How are these thoughts and emotions serving you??

    If not, what are some different thoughts or emotions you would like to feel instead?

  4. When ready, break down small steps to reaching your goal.

    Write down a measure of success for that goal. And the time you will do it by and find someone in your life to hold you accountable, even if it's yourself or a pet :) Tell someone about it.

  5. Champaign yourself!! I believe in you!

    You can do it! You have the wants, needs, and drive to complete this.

Interpretations
Limiting beliefs
Gremlins

To fully define and explore these blocks and how they play out in our lives would be more of an essay than a blog post. But, I will tell you they can layer up on one another and it's normal to experience more than one while trying to accomplish a goal.
